Congratulations on the arrival of your new child, and for considering a baby or new child christening.
You now have the opportunity to shape a life with love, attention, education and spiritual meaning.
Perhaps you have been away from church for a while and you are unsure of how to proceed. We’re here to make your baby baptism easy and convenient.
Our joyous celebration begins with a beautiful poem and Jesus’ lesson on blessing children from The Gospel of Mark. We talk about the importance and responsibilities of parenthood.
Promises are made about setting good examples and providing guidance for the child. You may appoint Godparents. Others may be invited to participate.
We pray for the family, and some choose christening or anointing the child’s head with the sign of the cross (with water from The Jordan River where Jesus Himself was baptized by immersion). Others prefer a more nondenominational or civil naming ceremony, which are optional.
In any case, the brief ceremony culminates with the parents pronouncing the name that will be with this child for a lifetime. It is truly worth celebrating!
Older children and adults might prefer an Arizona Baptism.
This service is available any day at any location by appointment from $200. Small chapels are available in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Flagstaff, and Tucson, or we can come to your home, resort or park for the baby christening.
